Hummus Among Us


This is one of Gene's favorites!

1 cup of roasted red peppers
1 can organic chick peas
1 garlic clove (if you don't have fresh- powdered works just fine)
Squirt of lemon juice
Salt to taste
* You can also add a T of olive oil- but many times I don't want the added fat- if your peppers are packed in oil, drain them.

Mix in your food processor- I use our Magic Bullet, which by the way, I have used everyday, several times a day for the past two years!

Serve with organic blue corn chips or vegetable sticks- yum!

* Update- made this today 8/29/09 deleted lemon juice and added hot sauce, Cholula is our favorite, and a dash of cinnamon- BEST EVER!!!!
